The de Young Museum offered local artists the opportunity to submit their work to be featured in a new exhibit, titled "On The Edge." The theme is a nod to the Bay Area's geographic location on the Pacific Rim and its reputation for cutting-edge creativity.
Out of 11,514 submissions, a jury selected 900 pieces to be featured. I am one of only 115 artists to have two pieces selected.
We are of every human story and civilization which preceded us through our unconscious. My paint-language is the encrypted iconography of this “Of-ness,”— the embodiment of all previous dynamic living expressions, which represent hope that we will unite to ensure that which is vital remains. The hunt to connect our lives into the greater continuum is what moves and animates my art, as well as human kind. Our physical and metaphysical existence is equivalent to less than the blink of an eye. It is my hope we will be inspired by the of-ness within us to use the blink of time do the best we can.

My art is a warrior’s battle cry to tear into the delusion of our separateness, to band together and righteously honor the universality we are all made of. From where we descend. My layered graffiti contains shadows and symbols of past and present archetypal characters—tribal expressions which represent genocides and fallen cultures of past civilizations and iterations of ourselves. Each culture that was colonized, conquered and usurped, are inspirational foundations for the new ones we must build in their soulful spirit. This responsibility belongs to humanity—we have a possibility, and indeed, a mandate, to psychically and artfully manifest a better, more inclusive and sustainable future.
